| DVD-Video is one of the most rapidly adopted consumer
electronics products ever launched in the United States.
What is DVD-Video?
It's much more than just Hollywood movies. DVD-Video is a multimedia
publishing format used for the interactive playback of high-quality
video, audio, animation and graphics content. The DVD-Video format
allows consumers to play back long-form content such as motion pictures,
and interactive content
such as games and training videos, all with higher video and audio
quality than VHS, SVHS, CD-1, or Laserdisc playback systems. DVD-Video
delivers full-screen, full-motion video at a resolution of 720 X 480
pixels per frame and a frame rate of 30 frames per second (fps). DVD also
supports the presentation of High-Definition video (HD 1080i and 1080p)
in all widescreen formats.
The DVD-Video
format also supports high-quality audio using Dolby® Digital audio,
DTS® audio, linear PCM audio, or MPEG-1 Layer II audio. Both Dolby
Digital and DTS support surround sound.
Finally, DVD-Video supports a range of functions that
enable the viewer of the DVD to control and interact with the DVD-Video
presentation itself.
What is DVD Authoring?
DVD Authoring is the design and creation of
the actual DVD disc content. The YDOCS DVD
Authoring process incorporates
all aspects of your project (titles, menus, video, audio, Flash®,
graphics, photos, and much more) into the finished DVD presentation disc
allowing for one complete delivery format to your audience. What you
receive is a ready-to-distribute final product incorporating your completed
DVD presentation. Additionally, we offer high-quality disc labeling and
packaging that supports and enhances the image you wish to convey to
your audience.
DVD Duplication
YDOCS offers DVD duplication services to meet any high-volume distribution
needs your project may require. Whether you need 10 discs for
in-house use or thousands of discs for world-wide distribution, YDOCS
has you covered every step of the way. We can even code your discs
for regional geographic use and incorporate numerous anti-copy and
copy-guard coding schemes to eliminate the threat of piracy of your
